The Code2Career Challenge is an exclusive opportunity for select Higher Ed schools to partner with Basta and equip their undergraduate students with unmatched career preparation through SWEP (Software Engineer Program) and google volunteers.
Basta SWEP is a unique collaboration between Basta and Google that combines technical expertise with real-world career success and accelerates the path to tech jobs or internships. Undergraduate students participate in a 10-week virtual experience, consisting of 1:1 mentorship from a dedicated Google Software Engineer (SWE) and live online workshops grounded in Basta’s best-in-class career navigation content and resources.

Promote Basta SWEP to your CS students to build awareness and encourage applications

What is the target student audience
for BASTA SWEP?
Basta SWEP is designed for undergraduates majoring in CS or related fields (eg: Data science, Information Systems, Engineering) and are interested in SWE/SWE-adjacent roles after graduation.
What are the TECHNICAL selection criteria for students?
Enrolled in or completed Data Structures & Algorithms courses
Committed to spending ≥ 4 hrs/week coding
Familiar with coding languages like Java, C++, Python, Javascript, R, C, or C#
Able to meet virtually 1X/week for 10 weeks with Google SWE
Able to demonstrate coding proficiency through CodeSignal test
